Socialist Party of Oregon[edit]

172.195.242.111 09:50, 5 February 2007 (UTC) The Socialist Party of Oregon page has been expanded. What documentation will do for the material added?[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:SPUSA logo.gif[edit]

The image Image:SPUSA logo.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:54, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article is much messed up[edit]

The recurring efforts of the Pacific Green Party to highjack the article are making a mess of it. First, the group created by the Browns and Bushman is neither related to the Socialist Party of Oregon (committee ID 1970 in Oregon) nor to the SPUSA (there is no SPUSA chapter any longer in Oregon).

Because of the time during which the SPUSA chapter and political party were run as of they were one organization, it would be good to mention that history -- the former affiliation to the SPUSA is the reason why the SPUSA logo appears, it is historical.

It is regrettable to see that Wikipedia still holds fast to such low standards.

Pacific Green Party group continues to hijack this page. Check with the Secretary of State of Oregon: Pacific Green {arty officers are not the people in the political party filings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.191.68.31 (talk) 03:04, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History inaccurate[edit]

The bogus history is erroneous. The Greens modifying the page have not paid attention.

In/about 1998, the SPO lost statewide ballot access, but retained ballot access in Congressional Districts 2-5.

From 2000 to about 2004, Congressional Districts 2, 4, and 5 were lost.

In 2008, District 3 was lost.

What documentation will serve to demonstrate this? In 2000, for example, Brown ran for CD3 and Duemler ran for CD4.

Pro forma COI notice[edit]

A quick note that I have added to the reading list a document which I produced back in 2004 (a transcription of 1904 newspaper articles) which I just bumped into again on Archive.org. I can't imagine why anyone would object, it being completely in context, non-commercial, etc., but I mention the fact for the record. —Tim Davenport /// Carrite (talk) 17:30, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's good. Hindustanilanguage (talk) 17:34, 20 April 2013 (UTC).[reply]

1992 reorganization[edit]

Does the 1992 party still exist? It's website can only be found in archives, it doesn't seem to have a Facebook page (except this which appears to be about a movement to reorganize the Oregon branch of the Socialist Party USA) and can't find any recent information about it.
