Talk[edit]

As in the software product management article, here also it would be nice to know what a software product is in this context. --Alien4 (talk) 11:05, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

At least the Description section seems to be mostly copied from Charles W. Krueger's article "Introduction to the Emerging Practice of Software Product Line Development", subsection "The Genesis of Software Product Line Development Methods", at http://www.methodsandtools.com/archive/archive.php?id=45 (viewed on 2018-11-18 around 14h CET). Shouldn't direct citations be clearly indicated with quotation marks and appropriate references? Also, heavy reliance on a single source doesn't convince the reader that the text really conveys the consensus among experts of the field. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.107.77.94 (talk) 13:21, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The two references to the Software Product Lines page on the CMU website just redirect to the SEI library's search engine. Searching for "Software Product Lines" yields lots of hits. Is Linda Northrup's presentation from 2005 (https://resources.sei.cmu.edu/library/asset-view.cfm?assetid=21060) the intended reference? Or was there once a set of pages devoted to the topic?
