Image caption[edit]

It isn't clear which one of the Pati brothers is pictured. Ollieinc (talk) 02:20, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Styling of name[edit]

Since the group uses sol3mio.com as their domain and calls themselves Sol3 Mio in the prose there, why are this article and the article on their album not at Sol3 Mio and Sol3 Mio (album), respectively? Or, if WP:MOS says to call them Sole Mio, why is the album not Sole Mio (album)? —C.Fred (talk) 00:07, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sole MioSol3 Mio – This is the consistently used spelling of the group's name in press ([1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]). Prosperosity (talk) 03:59, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Pretty clear case of common name. Seems rather uncontroversial; I would have just moved out it rather than go through a formal move request. Schwede66 19:08, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I tried that first, but since Sol3 Mio is a manually created redirect I wasn't able to. --Prosperosity (talk) 22:56, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose stylism SOL3 MIO (stylised as SOLΞ MIO) In ictu oculi (talk) 19:24, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support No-brainer. -- Jmc (talk) 19:27, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and other users - seems fairly uncontroversial and is easily the band's common name. Turnagra (talk) 08:29, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

-- should be relisted not non-admin closed - when the NZ Herald says "Pene Pati of Sole Mio" that's a newspaper source. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:52, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sydney Morning Herald Sole Mio: Polynesians bulk up a beautiful sound In ictu oculi (talk) 13:02, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @In ictu oculi! This is an obvious case of Common name. What would you say about "Sol3 Mio's Pene Pati...", this is afterall the same newspaper source. The NZ herald source you provided has just a brief mention as 'Sole' when this older source has mentioned them as 'Sol3' numerous times. The SMH source do refer to them as 'Sole', but this can be easily counted for being a mere convenience to writers. There are other references provided in the article which refer to them as 'Sol3' and they per se recognise as Sol3. Moving this page was the general consensus of this RM, and if you are still unhappy with the closure, please bring it on to WP:MR, I'm willing to participate. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 15:58, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
