I will have to see if I can find a online reference... but I know that this monument is one of only 2(???)civil war memorials that depict African American's engaged in combat activities. I feel that this is a unique facet to this monument and should be included in this article if someone can find a proper reference for it. Boufa (talk) 06:12, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
