காப்பு சதுரனெழிற் சோண சயிலற் றுதிப்பன் மதுரமொழி யன்பர் மனமாங்-குதிரைதிறை கொண்டவனென் றேத்துங் குரைகழற்கால் யானைதிறை கொண்டவனை யென்னுளத்தே கொண்டு.
நூல் அண்ணன்மா புகழ்மூ வரும்புனை யரும்பா வன்றியென் கவியுநின் றனக்காம் பண்ணுலா மிருவ ரிசைகொணின் செவியிற் பாணிமா னொலியுமேற் றிலையோ விண்ணுலா முடியின் மேருவின் வடபால் வெயிலொரு புடையுற வொருபால் தண்ணிலா வெறிப்ப வளர்ந்தெழுஞ் சோண சைலனே கைலைநா யகனே. (1)
சீரணி புகழுங் கல்வியுஞ் சிறந்த செல்வமு மில்லில்வாழ் பவர்க்குப் பேரணி கலமென் புதல்வருங் கதியும் பெறத்துதிப் பவர்க்கருள் பவனீ நேரணி கதியை மறந்தவர் கண்டு நினைந்துற மிக்கபே ரருளால் தாரணி முழுதுந் தோன்றிடுஞ் சோண சைலனே கைலைநா யகனே. (100)
