Sioux[edit]

Is the name in any relation to the Sioux tribe?

No... Soo is the shortform for both the cities of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan... "Sault" is pronounced "Soo"... and both the cities have always been nicknamed "The Soo". Indians is just a traditional sports nickname in Soo, Michigan. DMighton 02:20, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
