one of the former students who passed away in combat PFC Patrick Fitzgibbon was killed in combat last year in Afghanistan. He did not graduate in fact he dropped out of high school to protect our country. Along with the graduating class on 2010 he was given an honorary diploma from LTC Bill Woodcock. After a long battle with the School System Col woodcock finnaly was granted permission to give this diploma to Patrick's father. There is also a memorial garden with signs that represent all of our former class mates. the memorial garden also has trees dedicated to the fallen soldiers. Although the garden is for former class mates who have fallen in combat, every year there are tulips planted for all fallen soldiers from Tennessee. The JROTC program at south doyle is very patriotic and do alot for there former class mates who are not only deployed now but who have deployed and who have fallen. I would like to thank them for all they have done for our soldier and the futuer kids who take the harden path to become a soldier, salior, marine, or airmen. I Salute you and all you do. HOOAH and ARMY PRIDE
