Renaming article[edit]

Is there any way that the article could be renamed 'USC Beaufort Sand Sharks' from 'South Carolina-Beaufort Sand Sharks'? The former rather than the latter is the more commonly utilized name. BobbyStewartFan (talk) 20:16, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Probably if we can request such to a Wikipedia admin. jlog3000 (talk) 18:13, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@BobbyStewartFan and Johnluisocasio: if you can provide secondary or third party sources proving “USC Beaufort Sand Sharks” is the common name, I’ll move it. You may start a move request (preferred method) on this page too to get others involved. Corky 01:31, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article announcing USC Beaufort's move to NCAA DII has their name as "USC Beaufort" (https://uscbathletics.com/news/2022/7/14/general-usc-beaufort-approved-for-ncaa-division-ii-membership.aspx), as well as the Peach Belt website's 2023 baseball schedule (https://peachbeltconference.org/schedule.aspx?schedule=2721) BobbyStewartFan (talk) 23:50, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@BobbyStewartFan: those are primary sources and on here we need secondary and/or third party sources from the media. We can’t simply name an article something that the university prefers unless it’s the common name. Corky 12:12, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
