How the dialect sounds[edit]

This page seems to be focusing more on the history behind the accent than how it's different from Rigsdansk. History doesn't hurt anybody, but could someone please add a few differences between the Synderjysk and Rigsdansk? The Danish Wikipedia article has some information on this, so we could translate some of that, but some examples and some IPA would be nice for reference.

Schleswig, not Slesvig[edit]

Why is South Schleswig (the southern parts of the former Duchy conquered by Prussia) referred to as South Slesvig?
