Plymouth Coastal Observatory → South West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme – I received a request on IRC to move this page due to some "soft rebranding". I asked for anything to indicate this, and the closest provided was this About Us and this governmental page. Since neither of them explicitly indicate the name change, but rather refer to both almost as if they are separate entities, I wanted to put up a move request to see if there was any opposition or if I missed something obvious. The helpee (on IRC) indicated they were connected with the project so I don't really have any reason to doubt them, but want to make sure I am doing my due diligence. Thank you @Primefac I'm more than happy to try and provide further evidence if required. As soon as the new website and links are made (as the soft rebranding continues) I can add more sources, I do have various contacts with the Environment agency and contractor dealings, but obviously don't want to make those public as this would breach GDPR. Conditonal support if the subject of the article is to be expanded and reorganized to be about South West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme, of which Plymouth Coastal Observatory appears to be part of. The article will still be find-able because the old name will redirect to the new name, and the lead can mention both names. However, it would be best if the article expansion happened before the renaming. ~Anachronist (talk) 15:39, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
