What we plan to add[edit]

The lead of the SONG wiki page is very short (1 long sentence). The sentence is a good summary of the group, but we think that we could add in more and update it. Specifically, we wanted to add more pieces of the mission statement in addition to a broad description of the group. Our plan is to add more information about what SONG is and does (generally but excluding programs since we will have a different section for that). We plan to add in the mission statement as well and more information about it. The history section of the SONG wiki page is not very lengthy. It only talks about the founding in 1993, and now there is a lot more history than just the founding. Our goal is to add the almost 30 years of history into the history portion using the records and agendas that we can access online. We also want to add information about who the founders are. Similar to the other sections, the programs section is incredibly short. There is one general sentence about the programs and 3 very short sentence-long subsections about 3 different programs. This information is very scarce and doesn’t contain a lot of detail. There is so much more to SONG that is not included in this Wikipedia article. We want to expand the information by adding more details about the programs that SONG offers. Additionally, many of the sources used are several years old, so the programs listed may be outdated or have updates. Our goal is to update and add new information about the programs that SONG has.
