Proposed deletion[edit]

I wish there were a better page, or a better person to maintain it, but Spatialite is a very solid piece of software that needs to be documented. I am removing the delete proposal or whatever you call it, in hopes that a spaitialite person will take up the page.

Wikipedia is not a software catalogue. Software which is not covered in secondary sources does not meet our requirements regarding notability no matter how "solid" it may be. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 14:22, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've started adding some additional material from sites other than the spatialite site, specifically a link to the OGC that considers Spatialite as a reference implementation of a new proposed Geopackage standard. I assume this constitutes secondary sources.Wildintellect (talk) 23:20, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that this software is widely used enought to consider it as "notable". For example it is used by the European Environmental Agency to distribuite spatial data. There are lots of commercial software in wikipedia that nobody really use, so this "Proposal for removal" looks little bit excessive Antonello Lobianco (user:lobianco) .. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.100.156.28 (talk) 07:34, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
