What of other music origins?[edit]

While i understand this work is done in the lens of a wextern audience, is it possible to gather more information/research on this topic from music from other regions, even if it's through comapring notes from researchers from those regions. Crimson Kai (talk) 04:09, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Article Review[edit]

The article, Speech-to-Song Illusion, is a short one, so there isn't much to cover about it for the Lead section. That being said, the Lead section does cover most of the necessary points, stating what speech-to-sound illusions are and breifly giving an over view of the topic. but that is all. The Lead section doesn't go into detail doesn't go into detail all the main topics that would be covered in the Article. It doesn't give information not in the article either, thankfully. All in all, it is a very concise Lead section, though considering the information contained, again, it is not bad.

All the content is relevent to the topic in one way or another and the latest sources are only 5 years old as of current year, 2024. the only downside is that most of the information is from the western side of the hemisphere and seems to be a little biased to that end. I do not blame the writer of the article sole for this, as there is a good chance that the main issue lies with a lack of research within different regions of the world for this particular subject, if not just a lack of translations. what is known of speech-to-song illusion can be used as a stepping point for more research in other languages and regions, though.

Considering the nicheness of the subject and the limited pool of information, the content presented is a little biased. That being said, it has been neutral without any biased claims. The main issue is that it needs more information from research in other regions, as mentioned before, to give a more international view of the subject, but the reson behind this issue can be numerous.

Not all the sources can be considered reliable. As the sources get closer to current day, the become less research papers and scientific journals and more college news articles. It's not great, and there could be more reliable information out there, but the garuntee isn't high, once again due to how niche this subject seems to be.that being said, the sources are all relevent, if not all fuklly reliable.

The organization of the article is done well. majore sections are labeled and information is easy to digest.

There are no images to go with this article, but there are links to the audio mentioned within the article through the refernce section. considering the audio aspect of the subject in question, imagery may not be neccessary.

There is no activity in the talk pages, as it is very blank. My Messegas are the only ones on the page as of 1/20/2024.

Overall, the topic is interesting and the page seems very new, if not just niche. I would like to add more to this topic, one way or another. This may be a bit of an underdeveloped topic, but it seems fun to learn about. Crimson Kai (talk) 05:40, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
