Image suggestion[edit]

We need a nice close photo of the outline of the entire butte to replace the long shot from Skinner Butte. Katr67 02:17, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name?[edit]

Secretary of War Spencer was not holding that office in 1845. This according to the U.S. Army: http://www.history.army.mil/books/Sw-SA/Spencer.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.220.103.228 (talk) 16:12, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. Looks like this might need some more research. I wonder how long that story has been parroted. Katr67 (talk) 18:03, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Summit is treeless[edit]

The summit is clearly treeless, as demonstrated by multiple images in this article and in the public domain. I removed the citation needed tag associated with this statement. Bonehed (talk) 20:54, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Geology?[edit]

I would expect this article to contain at least some information about the geology of the butte. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:1C2:101:AB3:0:0:0:C954 (talk) 21:37, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
