A worried mother appears to have left this message[edit]

I am a 35 year old women who was diagnosed with Pancreatis 2 years ago. I recently had an ERCP done on June 8, 2009, after my procedure I was hositalized for 1 1/2 week, and since then the pain has worsen. I have to take 2 morphine (15mg each) at night because the pain is so bad in my stomach and back and the pain still does not go away. The pain always seem to worsen after eating or just drinking water, and sometime I do not even eat due to loss of appetite or pain. Is there anyone out with similar problems?

My son has not been diagnosed with this as of yet, but does show signs of this dysfunction. He has gotten worse since his gall bladder removal. Still trying to find out what he may be dealing with.Snafu6304 (talk) 00:46, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Snafu! and welcome to wikipedia, unfortunately no one here can really help, this is not a website to diagnose or a website where people with similar problems can discuss their problems. Please see here and more importantly Wikipedia:Medical disclaimer. Common sense says that the best person to ask is your doctor/GP. The internet is only secondary to their experience and knowledge. Wow! Seriously? This is the explanation of Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction?[edit]

I have poured over THOUSANDS of medical articles since the earliest of implementation of the web (we're talking BEFORE the use of a 9600 baud modem and connecting to Princeton!) and I have NEVER seen an article that was SO out of reach of the layman! Who, other than a doctor, nurse, med school patient or someone else DIRECTLY related to the healthcare industry could understand this article. I got as much out of reading this article than I would have to never have researched the subject at all! Can someone PLEASE re-write this so it is understandable?! It would be greatly appreciated!
