Transliteration of Kanji[edit]

I think that there should be a mention of the word "ihai" in the kanji transliteration as well as kana for it as well. Anyone know how to do this at all? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.114.16.32 (talk) 03:24, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not a witch[edit]

A spirit tablet is not the same as an idol.

seems either needless [generally speaking, idols are statues and spirit tablets are just writing, a point already made] or (which is actually the case) defensive and unsourced POV injection, trying to draw a line between "pagan" worship and what's going on in East Asia. Lord knows what the status is post-Vatican II but it's a fairly huge deal in religious history that—albeit from a place of extreme ignorance—the Catholic Church took the official position that veneration at spirit tablets is idolatry. Moreover, it's simply false that idols must be statues; there are definitions of the term that certainly apply to spirit tablets. — LlywelynII 00:59, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
