The entire Spout Run Parkway and Park are part of the I-66 right of way. If plans are approved to widen I-66 there is a risk that the Spout Run tree canopy will be destroyed. There are currently no plans to conduct environmental impact studies or replace lost tree canopy due to I-66 widening. Has any environmental group reported on this? If not, adding it to the article might run afoul of our no original research and neutral point of view policies. I would think, however, that a simple statement that the parkway is in the I-66 ROW, with a link to that PDF as a reference, should be acceptable. That is assuming, of course, that the PDF actually indicates that (it is downloading very slowly). --NE2 01:34, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
After looking at the PDF, I'm not sure that it would be a good reference. The ROW line has several gaps in it, and doesn't include some land that I-66 is located on. --NE2 01:39, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
