Notice[edit]

I have opened this issue at the Administrators' noticeboard for Incidents. I will not be here next week and I cant observe, so I hope everything works out. Here is a link to the posting.[1] Sephiroth storm (talk) 05:47, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

appeals[edit]

Someone keeps adding "(though sena members had beaten boys but letting girls out of their way)" into the Mangalore Pub Attacks section, with a citation that goes to an article saying the exact opposite. Reputable news sources including NDTV have show footage of activists attacking women, and their leadership has admitted as much, on the site they link to. Their vandalisation of wiki for the purposes of self-promotion should give it a flag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harryfmk (talkcontribs) 09:40, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PLeased wiki this rama sena group has all communally dangerous people we request u to remove all the details about this group.. i wish indian govt will ban this organisation and should be treated as terrorist organisation........

This article is created in the name of Sri Ram Sena and the whole article is to insult Sri Ram Sena which is not fair. So i kindly request to remove this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sathishmls (talkcontribs) 09:45, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Specify your exact, specific reasons here, not in the article - Skysmith (talk) 09:59, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

People will only see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Ram_Sena and they will get a negative picture of Sri Ram Sena. This is vandalism. This is not fair. This is Atrocious.

Remove all the unfair things from the main page !!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sathishmls (talkcontribs) 10:28, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wikipedia policy is to report what happens, not to advocate either side. However, your actions constitute political or religious advocacy, which is against Wikipedia policies. - Skysmith (talk) 10:34, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok.Fine. I will be true that i add only what happens. Also i will make sure that the false information given by some media should not pollute wikipedia.

Skysmith, you are reverting my changes and you are unknowningly adding false information to wikipedia.

I will be continuosly reverting if you change again, because you are violating the philosophy of wikipedia which is always the truth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sathishmls (talkcontribs) 07:07, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The philosophy of Wikipedia is verifiability. That key policy starts with the words "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth." JohnCD (talk) 08:44, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

just a point here i thought they were called shri ram sene? just a clarification needed here thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tca achintya (talkcontribs) 13:19, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

abduction[edit]

there is consensus among sources that sri ram sena is suspected in this case. so this article on sri ram sena should include this information. it's not for us to decide who's responsible, we just reflect the sources.

i'm adding additional sources. also adding muthalik's denial, to balance out.

cheers

Group[edit]

References to the Ramayana do not belong in this article, since this is a political group (outfit? gang?) with tenuous ties to Hinduism the religion (if at all). Also the name should be Sene, since there is what appears to be a need for disambiguation. I also want to know why all this biased material in favor of the organization keeps appearing on the page.Pectoretalk 19:47, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Where are the sources on this "Kalki Ji" Maharaj, the Sri Ram Sene being the literal army of the Ramayana, or any of the praise section. In terms of the groups welcome in the media, its only known for its pub and valentines day controversies.Pectoretalk 22:41, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2009 Mangalore pub attacks[edit]

Why is there no mention of the Mangalore pub attacks on this page? Here is a source proving Sri Ram Sena was behind it: http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jan/29/world/fg-india-brawl29 Cheers, Lostromantic (talk) 11:44, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have no idea how that was overlooked all this while (or was it removed?) , I've added a sub-section for it from the main article itself 2009 Mangalore pub attack. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 18:14, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Original research[edit]

I have reverted @Vanamonde93:'s edits, because it restored original research regarding the vandalism of an exhibition of M F Hussain's paintings and they didn't attacked only "attacked women for going to a pub", but both young men and women, it was not mentioned clearly. Capitals00 (talk) 08:17, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The removal of OR is fine; but the sections you have created make absolutely no sense. We have an "Activities and accusations" section, which starts off with some activities, and then a sub-section saying "other" with other activities and some accusations. I'd rather not revert you yet again, so please fix this. Vanamonde (talk) 09:43, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ordered them by dates now. Capitals00 (talk) 09:58, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
