an opinion[edit]

Hey!

This whole situation really disgusts and enrages me. They won't even sell the building. They're just going to knock it down, leave an empty lot for a year in an area that has an amazing 360 degree view of 19th century buildings and then make an excuse to sell the land to apartment contractors. - Justin

biased point of view[edit]

Entire article is to promote point of view that church shutdown by diocese is wrong. While purporting to be the main article on the church itself, the piece is shot through with the point of view attacking the Roman Catholic Church leadership for shutting it down. There's good history here too. It can be salvaged. But it will need a thorough overhaul to remove the bias.PFR 21:19, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

  • The facts are the facts. There are citations to community and national news sources. One can't change the fact that the church was resoundingly criticized. Regardless, it is two sections, and you state "entire article", which shows your own POV. --David Shankbone 17:32, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I accept the criticism that my statement that the "entire article" was biased was unhelpful. But the statement that my comment in and of itself showed my POV is unfair. What it did reflect was my surprise and overreaction to the obvious bias on the part of the article's original author. I have gone through and made a number of individual helpful edits. Thanks for the (mostly) constructive criticism.--PFR 21:19, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Current Event's Box[edit]

Have put a "Current Events" Box at the sections where they are appropriate rather than for the entire article. While it is true that at this time I am the first person to update the article, the events added only just occured and I am using the articles in today's newspapers as my references to add more details. I expect other will be by to make more changes shortly. CyntWorkStuff (talk) 05:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good news and bad[edit]

The bad news is I think St. Brigid's may have been torn down despite the best efforts and the $20 million. The good news is the school is still there. I will try to locate the news articles about it. Malke 2010 (talk) 04:00, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
