The Manhattan African-Amerian History & Culture Guide, Museum of the City of New York[edit]

I have put a 'citation needed' to this reference (citation) in the article: "The Manhattan African-Amerian History & Culture Guide, Museum of the City of New York". I can't find the publication listed anywhere. Not even in the Library of Congress which lists over fifty publications for the Museum of the City of New York. You could add as a trivia, that the famous Rapper Big L was shot and killed in 139th harlem street 89.217.228.155 (talk) 20:03, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uncertain punctuation in quote[edit]

I have removed this quote from the main text, as it seems to be suitable for blockquote formatting and yet its punctuation is ambiguous: "Between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, is 139th Street, known among Harlemites as "strivers' row." It is the most aristocratic street in Harlem. Stanford White designed the houses for a wealthy white clientele. Moneyed African-Americans now own and inhabit them. When one lives on "strivers' row" one has supposedly arrived. Harry Rills resides there, as do a number of the leading Babbitts and professional folk of Harlem." Wallace Thurman, Negro Life in New York’s Harlem, (Girard, KS: Haldeman-Julius Publications, 1928) If someone looks up the quote and figures out the proper punctuation, we might restore it to the article. Just to be clear: I like the quote. But the way it's punctuated makes it unclear whether the whole thing is a quote from the cited book, or whether part of it is a paraphrase.
