High schools in Summit County, Ohio

I've added this article to Category:High schools in Summit County, Ohio. However, I wonder if it would be better classified in Category:High schools in Akron, Ohio, which is a subcategory of the former. If this school is in the city of Akron, it should probably be classified in the latter category. -- JeffBillman (talk) 02:02, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

The Athletic Director is no longer Andy Jalwan. It is Willie McGee VM03.

Also, here is information to add to the page along with the info about St. Mary and St. Vincent.

St. Vincent-St. Mary In 1972, St. Vincent and St. Mary High Schools became St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. In 1973, the first STVM graduating class was in 1973 and totaled 237 students. In September, 1973, the STVM school year opened for 700 students in the new $3 million facility at 15 North Maple Street in Akron, Ohio. School colors taken from the familiar green and white (St. Vincent High School) and blue and gold (St. Mary High School) became the now ever-present Green & Gold. The student newspaper was no longer "The Vincentian" or "The Crusader" but "The Leprechaun Gold." The yearbook, "The Phoenix" rose from the ashes of "The Shamrock" and "The Bluebook" and a new alma mater was written to hail Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. As of 2015, STVM has graduated 7,106 students. With our combined histories, our schools have graduated over 17,988 students. Source: http://www.stvm.com/whoweare/history-stvm.php

Athletic director's name is not appropriate content. I'll be happy to remove the old one's name. 96, you need to identify your connection with the school. None of your suggested addition is appropriate. This is an encyclopedia article about the school, not a publicity vehicle for the school. Once you get beyond the mundane, like address and staff (the only one of which we will name is the head of the school), ALL material needs to be cited to reliable published sources independent of the school. Any conflict of interest needs to be identified here. Further, if maintenance of the school's online presence, publicity, or marketing is part of your job, there are further requirements per the terms of service that any editor agrees to abide by when editing. Add https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Kozak She is a St. Mary 1961 grad and a leader in her field--many patents and important work.

Not done for now: as you have not cited reliable sources to show that Kozak attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School and her school is not mentioned, let alone sourced, in her article either. - Arjayay (talk) 14:10, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Please change "principal = Sandra Wilkes" to "principal = Robert Brownfield VM'03" because St. Vincent - St. Mary High School recently appointed Robert Brownfield as the new principal of the school.

Change Principal to Kimberlee Gorr 96.11.52.82 (talk) 17:47, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:20, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Principal information is out of date

As per the school’s webpage (STVM.com) Robert Brownfield is no longer the principal. The current principal is Kimberlee Gorr.

Also, the school is sponsored by the Society of Mary (SM, Marianists). It would be nice if this could be added somewhere.

I can’t edit the page because it has been locked. Can someone help? Andrew Rick2017 (talk) 02:50, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Two edits that need completed: the school president has changed to Leo Hyland. The school logo is also incorrect. See our official school logo and branding guide at www.stvm.com/branding. The current logo on Wikipedia has an extra green outline around it - this is no longer an approved version. Thank you for your help! 208.50.108.202 (talk) 13:12, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

The school chaplain is no longer Gordon Yahner, who is now deceased. The title has also changed as well. The Campus Minister is Christine Spinner. See here for confirmation: https://www.stvm.com/staff/christine-barrows-spinner 208.50.108.202 (talk) 13:15, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

Not done: Non-notable persons are not usually listed in infoboxes, especially not when their appointments and office are entirely run-of-the-mill. Even less so when the only source is not independent from the relevant organisation (the school, in this instance) itself. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 02:54, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

The current logo listed on the page is incorrect. Note that the extra green line around the logo is against the school's branding standards and is an incorrect version. The correct logo and branding guidelines can be found at www.stvm.com/branding. 208.50.108.202 (talk) 11:04, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Please ignore the previous request to update the logo - this should be the correct request to the official/approved logo for St. Vincent-St. Mary High Shchool:

Not done for now: I'm really not trying to make this harder than it has to be, but the information that is filled out for that file shows that it's released under a creative commons license, which does not appear to be true. You need to edit the license information to be fair use, and provide all of the rationales, or the file will be deleted. I've nominated it for deletion on Commons already. Again, this isn't to make this intentionally difficult, but as the logo is clearly copyrighted it needs to have full fair use rationale explained for us to use it.
