The nearest the Jarrow Marchers got to Stanley was Chester-le-Street. See Jarrow March and eg this map

Some parts of "Leisure" section now belong in "History", plus could add a few other sports & leisure facilities[edit]

Lamplight Arts Centre: became Stanley Civic Hall — currently closed & up for sale — see https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/24161582.stanley-civic-hall-sale-huge-repair-bill/
Stanley Youth Centre: closed.
- Could perhaps now add SYPC, the Stanley Young People's Club? And also SAYC, the Stanley Area Youth Consortium?

Most of the Governance section belongs in History[edit]

Proposal: summarise the historical parts, & transfer to history; change 'Governance' to 'Local government and services'. Within that, create three paras: 1) Local government is provided by Stanley Town Council.
