Videos and sources[edit]

I've removed the idle speculationa regarding the Starlight video's connection to Sing of Absolution's video. Before the Starlight video was broadcast, the two were originally rumoured to be connected (presumably due to the shared director) but there's no obvious similarity between them.

Sources to all the uncited claims can be found on www.muselive.com 's news archive. I can vouch for their truth and may sift through the archives for the sources later. - James Duffy, 08 August 06

question[edit]

Why wasn't the previous Starlight article which was blanked reverted and moved rather than creating a new article? --Tene 05:11, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just because, I suppose. This one's alright. Karma Llama 09:04, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources please[edit]

Could we have some sources in this article please? There are none currently. Thanks Mahahahaneapneap 20:37, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've cited the release date from the NME, but I can't find the origin of the tracklist (which I think is just idle speculation), the video info (which I think may be from an interview I can't find) and the opinion of Chris (I don't know where the hell that's from). How do you get to the hidden track on the DVD?

Piano melody[edit]

I think in the article, there should be something about the piano melody, which is the same as some 80's song that I cannot for the life of me remember. Can anyone tell me where they cribbed the piano melody from? --Trypsin 02:58, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree. The song was called: "Be Near Me" by ABC. The Muse song is almost a direct copy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.7.99.239 (talk) 21:36, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Power ballad ?[edit]

How come there is no mention that this song is a ballad ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.160.33.213 (talkcontribs)

Chart trajectory[edit]

Before the good article nomination can proceed any further, the chart trajectory needs to be removed per the guideline outlined in Wikipedia:Record charts, as it forms an indiscriminate collection of information. RaNdOm26 11:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good article[edit]

When I first looked at this article I felt it may have been too short, but on closer inspection it is clear that the coverage of the topic is quite broad, ranging from background information to the various discs produced. The article is well written and meets all of the GA criteria... Johnfos 00:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome, thanks Johnfos! Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 03:48, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fucking Motherfucker[edit]

The following statement I added to this article.

  1. "(Hidden Track/Fucking Motherfucker)"

- - The 'hidden track' on the DVD release is a short song. It is either referred to as simply 'Hidden Track' or 'Fucking Motherfucker' by fans. The lyrics consist of the words fucking, motherfucker, and some mindless whining("doo doo doo"), all sung in a distorted falsetto voice. 'Fucking Motherfucker'Hidden track on Musewiki

It is true- it's even referenced. I am putting it back in. Leemorrison 21:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube and MuseWiki don't count as reliable sources. See WP:RS. I've removed the content unless a reliable source can be found. — H2O —  08:07, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This do?

OK, you can add that. Just make sure you name it "hidden track", as the fan name isn't the official name of the song. — H2O —  23:38, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done, cheers. :) Leemorrison 15:56, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
December 3rd, 2009 : above reference (#15 on the page) does no longer link to the appropriate page. Somebody needs to find another reference to put up there--65.103.224.112 (talk) 23:44, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Can someone move it back to Starlight (song)? There is no other article named Starlight that's a song, so why disambiguate from what we don't have? I asked the guy who moved it, but all he did was give a stupid answer along with a stupid comment. Then he ignored me. RandySavageFTW (talk) 19:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Space rock[edit]

The source cited in the article (http://www.nme.com/reviews/muse/8012) doesn't mention space rock - it's just a possible interpretation of a phrase used there. Two sources that could be used are http://www.xfm.co.uk/article.asp?id=297500 and http://www.rte.ie/ten/2006/0804/muse.html. Peter E. James (talk) 22:53, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I've been saying this whole time. If only Carnotaurus044 could use reading comprehension and/or Google. Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talkcontributions) 22:57, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lol, you speaking about "reading" comprehension, really you lack sense, however, hopefully the discussion is over. Carnotaurus044 (talk) 23:22, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
