Untitled[edit]

I've been trying to expand/revise this entry a bit. I'm not certain how relevant the detailed Earth-2 timeline is to the overview of the character but I didn't want to just remove it entirely (someone seems to have put a lot of effort into it). Rajah1 02:57, July 10 2006

High and Low[edit]

The novel King's Ransom by Ed McBain, and thus the film High and Low, parallel the plot of the Starman story in Adventure Comics#81.

According to Jack Burnley's foreword in The Golden Age Starman Archives vol. 1, Gardner Fox was not involved in creating Starman. Starman was created during an editorial meeting. Burnley created the sketch, the name, and the gravity rod. The editors at the meeting (Whit Ellsworth, Murray Boltinoff, Jack Schiff, Mort Weisinger, and Bernie Breslauer) each contributed some aspects as well. Fox was not involved and did not write the first story either (which is credited as unknown in the Archives book). Opal City?[edit]

The article makes it sound as if Ted Knight's home was Opal City when the JSA comics were being published, but the Opal City article says that was a modern invention. Do the old comics ever give him a hometown? This sentence should be rewritten to clarify that Opal City is a retcon. Aristophanes68 (talk) 02:15, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
