Talk:Stauning Whisky

I recently visited the distillery and tried their whisky, and I found it quite good. I looked for more information and discovered that the distillery didn't have an english wikipedia page. I decided to create one myself, and I've mainly been using the history page of the distillery's own website, since the information is hard to come by in english (it being a danish distillery and all.

I cannot seem to figure out which content is considered improper advertising. I've been using the same main topics as other distillery pages (for example Ardbeg) and telling what prices the whisky have won seems like a logical part of describing it.

Hi Emil, and thanks for creating the article. The section on "Bottlings" was mostly pasted from this page on the distillery's website, so I've had to remove that. Please have a read of WP:COPYVIO: Wikipedia is legally obliged to remove copyrighted content from articles.
Regarding prices, please see WP:NOTCATALOG - we shouldn't include prices in the article either.
The original draft of the article also contained a lot of marketing or fan prose, for example, "the production tools were set up and the dream was finally a reality"; "From the moment the distillery receives the barley & rye from the fields of the farmer to the golden drops are bottled everything is done at the distillery. This is done to make sure that no compromises are made on the quality of the product" etc. This was mostly taken care of in this edit by another editor. The article looks much more encyclopedic now, and less like a marketing brochure. Thanks, Norvoid (talk) 09:54, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
