Confusing intro[edit]

Northern Ramp means what ?[edit]

The steep side is the "northern ramp", meaning what ? Isn't the steep side on the Italian side which would be the southern side of the pass, not the northern side.Eregli bob (talk) 22:36, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Italian name[edit]

If no-one can provide a reliable source stating that Gojo dello Stelvio is the Italian name of the pass, I will change the name back to Passo dello Stelvio (like on it:wikipedia and according to normal Italian usage). Doanri, thanks for correcting my horrible type/read error. Well, I can of course live with this. I even think that swisstopo refers to the local dialect, which is spoken on both sides of the border, namely Lumbaart. Therefore, I suppose, swisstopo sometimes (depends on the map scale, i.e. the date of edition) uses stress marks. I'm contributing to this article by some translations from reliable sources in Italian. I'd like to underline that I have relaborated the sources for a question of copyright, while I'm going to verify also the already existing information.
