Laws protecting fetuses[edit]

It appears that one of the main philosophical motives for trying to protect embryos, in the way that many ethicists and governments have done, is that most healthy embryos will eventually turn into fetuses, and that many people would have strong moral objections against the biological manipulation of fetuses when taken to the extent that embryos are currently manipulated in labs. Some ethicists have raised concerns about the possible emergence of a new form of biological slavery, that might even extend beyond fetuses and eventually include children and adults, who would be groomed their whole life for abject medical and biological testing, such as previously seen in concentration camps.
