opening date[edit]

Was just going through the notable alumni section and noticed there are people from the 1800's and early 1900's in that list. Makes me curious as to why the opening date of the school is listed as 1949. For our purposes at Wikipedia, the school is the institution, not the building it is located in. This article needs a history section. Any chance someone local there might do one? I cannot do the research way out here in the styx, but I'll be happy to help write something if someone can find some sources. John from Idegon (talk) 04:56, 3 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
