Improvements needed[edit]
The subject of this article is clearly notable, and this article is notably deficient. I do not plan on making a career of my work here, but I hope to be able to remedy some of the deficiencies. I have started Talk:Steve Sohmer/Sources to collect reliable sources. Other contributions are welcome, both sources and text.
Particularly needed are sources for his early career, including at NBC and other broadcasters. As those days were before the Internet, the sources on which this article must have been based are not online. Kablammo (talk) 15:31, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
Additional sources from John Douglas Miller[edit]
Steve Sohmer hired John Douglas Miller to move to the CBS network in Los Angeles as the director of affiliate marketing for CBS-TV, West Coast;
Sohmer was Miller's mentor and tutor;
Miller learned from Sohmer to pay attention to detail while maintaining focus on big issues—what Sohmer called, "do a million little things right";
Miller of Sohmer "I learned a lot from his successes as well as his failures; he's a bigger-than-life personality."
