incomprehensible passage[edit]

Quote from the start of 2nd paragraph of "Musical career" section:

In 1992, Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil was put into the studio to record a single for a Pauly Shore vehicle entitled "Encino Man" called "You're Invited But Your Friend Can't Come"

AFAIK, that song was made by Neil for the movie Encino Man, where Shore appears (I recall seeing the videoclip some time ago). However, the lead roles were played by Brendan Fraser and Sean Astin, who are higher-profile actors than Shore, so the mention to him and him only is somewhat weird. A "vehicle" in this context is usually a project that is specific to an individual that will further their career. This movie was a Pauly Shore "vehicle" in-so-far that it brought large scale attention to Pauly Shore by cashing in on his "schtick" from MTV. It was this movie that made him a "star". And at the time of Encino Man, Shore was higher-profile than Fraser (who only did a couple of bit parts prior to Encino Man) and Astin (known primarily for Goonies and Toy Soldiers). 71.114.75.194 23:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
