Comment[edit]

This page was clearly written by the guy himself. Recommend for deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.250.175.18 (talk) 13:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, this admits to being self-written, and is really just an ad. Inclined to agree with the deletion flag; flagged for multiple issues (hugely POV and lack of citation) in the meantime. Any deletion resolution should probably wait a bit given his very recent inflammatory WSJ ad. 96.54.165.181 (talk) 01:52, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grammy Open Letter and ensuing changes=[edit]

Stoute purchased a full page ad in the New York Times for an open letter protesting the Grammy Award for the band Arcade Fire. Apparently this prompted broad ruleset changes in the Grammy Awards. This is probably the one thing Stoute is notorious for. --Dnavarro (talk) 01:58, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rationale for edit, plus structural criticism[edit]

The information in the info box was bloated and non-standard. I checked the info boxes of much more famous people in comparable professions. This one was way out of line. So, it's been trimmed. This article is structured like a resume, or the publicity page for a corporate officer. The language, however, doesn't seem to be cut and pasted. It's closer to the tone of an ordinary Wikipedia article. This article needs to be restructure similar to the format of other notables. Writing one's own article or having it done by a subordinate isn't a crime. Check out Cael Sanderson. His article was almost certainly written by the athletics publicity department at Penn State, but it's written well, scrupulously referenced, and neutral in tone.
