I removed this link from the "External links" section, but it appears to be a reliable source so I'm posting it here if anybody wants to use it to cite the article.

Edit of this page[edit]

Hello, I'm Randall and I've been tasked with updating this page for Steve Tappin.

I know Steve personally, as a friend. I understand that I am not able to edit based on COI - therefore is it possible for me to post here the changes requested, and have someone verify them?

I am not the author of the changes requested - these have come from Steve directly.

Apologies if this isn't the right forum and I look forward to your feedback. Fuzzsoth (talk) 22:23, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Fuzzsoth. Please go ahead and propose your suggestions here in the usual way. Edwardx (talk) 23:35, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Edward, thanks for this.
The original edit I had proposed is at: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Tappin&oldid=1180172415 I'm only working on the initial sections for now, in order to learn and gain experience.
As user Bojo has helpfully pointed out, I have a COI here as I know Steve personally. I don't really understand the COI declaration though!

User bojo has noted that I can't use promotional materials and that the referenced "Tappin is an expert on China" is a no-go and also the "Tappin's highest calling" etc is a no-go. Could I rewrite the first as:
"Tappin is regarded as an expert on Chinese business management and has been referred to as a confidant by [ref]"
Is the CEO Guru section OK? It is factual...
I understand that I need to replace the "highest calling" sentence as this is an opinion and not factual/referencable. Fuzzsoth (talk) 10:08, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
