Changed "plot" section title[edit]

Changed section title I've changed the "Plot" section title to be "Story Line" with my last edit. The use of "Plot" for this show just doesn't... quite... fit... If you see what I'm getting at. I won't be upset if anyone wants to change it back, or if anyone wants to change it to something other then "Story Line". I simply feel that this may be an instance where we're taking an adhoc standard a bit too far, is all. I recognize that the use of "Plot" as a section in TV series articles has become basically standard practice, but Storm Chasers isn't really a show with a plot... it's more of a (decidedly dramatized) documentary then a Real World/Survivor style "reality television" show. I'm positive that the editors do dramatize events on the series, but it's still not set up in the same manner as "reality TV" series are.

Merge[edit]

I merged the List of Storm Chasers episodes content back to this one due to the simple fact that there is not enough content to justify two articles right now. After another couple of half seasons, or if Discovery Channel actually splurges for a full season of episodes, then I could see developing that list separately. Until then, it's just easier to work with and maintain a single article rather then an article and a List article.

Storm Chase Dates[edit]

Looking at the List of Episodes I noticed that something key is missing: the storm chasing date. I'd figure this would be interesting for all those who would want to see the meteorological data from that day. I would also like to add a link the Storm Prediction Center's Severe Thunderstorm Events archive. Just wondering if anyone else thinks that this is a good idea and possibly if they would like to help. Lightning Jim (talk) 05:31, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you can find someone who has published the dates someplace we need to be real careful about adding the dates that you're talking about. They never mention any dates on the show (that I can recall, anyway), so be sure that you're not creating Synthesis or any other form of Original Research here on Wikipedia.
As for the link... go for it.

I have noticed on the show that they tend to show the chasers looking at weather data which has dates on them. But those could potentially be edits from another day so they can't be used. On the other hand the last episode one the TVN chasers said "Today is May 13th" and the data from that day equals what happened in the show. But basically you're right in that I should find sourced data; I really hope I can actually find it. Lightning Jim (talk) 17:52, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

upcoming season of Storm Chasers[edit]

Does anyone know when the 2010 season of Storm Chasers begins? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.89.10.141 (talk) 13:29, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

== Cancelation == ???

I personally undid the cancellation portion. I watched the entire video cited and it does not contain one mutter of the cancellation. I wrote a blog post using it as a source and now am ashamed of myself. I will never use wikipedia again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.227.162.113 (talk) 21:01, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Mile Wide Tornado" not a Storm Chasers episode[edit]

The article implies that the special dedicated to the trio is an episode of Storm Chasers. It's not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tgiesler (talkcontribs) 16:21, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
