iSquad

So what's the deal with that iSquad link at the bottom? Is that a spam link? If so, it needs to be removed.71.207.192.47 05:45, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Anyone have sources for the chart positions, both the album and subsequent singles?

Well, I haven't heard "Stand back up" on the radio or otherwise but the commericals for their CD on TV and I can definately vouch for the other 4 actually being singles that were played on the radio and such. 5/14/06

2 versions of "Down in Mississippi"?

Ok, I know for a fact that there are 2 versions of that song. The CD version which is a lot quicker and not as dragged out and with a different tone (which I prefer) and the release version that was on TV and on the radios which is the version that we are seeing. Why is this? Basically, the differences are in her voice, the music and the way it's sung. Basically, in the line "Gonna Call Lisa, Gonna call Carla Sue" is sung quick on the CD version but on the airplay version, the last part is drug out to sound like "Car-la Suuuee). Why is this? I suspect it was something to do with royalties when they lost a band member. If I'm wrong, can someone let me know what is the deal behind that? Faris b 16:46, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Singles

I added the peak positions for other charts (Hot 100, Pop 100, Hot Downloads). TenPoundHammer 00:49, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

I removed those sections, sorry, but do we REALLY need a pop and digital columns added on? I think not. Post something here before adding it back please so we may discuss it. Afterall, this is COUNTRY music, not pop or digital or anything like that. I get tired of seeing country artists have pop and digital chartings on their pages for a few hits that made it on there. I figure that the Hot 100 column is at least relevant, so I re-added it. All other country acts who regularly hit the Hot 100 have their Hot 100 peaks listed too, and so far only one Sugarland song (not counting "Stand Back Up", an album cut) has failed to hit the Hot 100, so why not have it? TenPoundHammer 22:29, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Fine, leave the Hot 100 one but please no more than that and the country column.Vala M 04:39, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

I think the newer chart looks terrible. It's too wide and I don't like the rowspan coding which uses 1 box in place of 4 or 5 separate ones. Plus, I thought that it was agreed on here that no other columns than the Hot 100 and Country songs would be added. We don't need the Pop 100. That stuff can go on the album's article.

I never said that it should be removed because it looks bad. I just said that it does. Anyway, I don't think that pop and digital should be listed because:

  1. The songs are country music and I believe there's no point to have them appear on pop charts. People who listen to pop aren't going to come on to the page and think "Oh yeah, this song from a genre I didn't listen to is on the pop charts" or complain that it isn't listed.
  2. Because only select songs charted on either of those charts so it takes up extra space on the page. I have a high resolution on my monitor (1280 x 1024) and the chart takes up most of the page width for me, add to that the fact that most people use a lower resolution.
  3. If we start adding a new column for every peak for a song at a new chart, we'll be having 5 or 6 or more columns in the future I believe. I'm not sure where it was stated but I believe that it's a wiki guideline to have as few columns as possible on tables.

Chart table format

Please don't revert it to the "auto" setting instead of "1". I don't know what kind of screen resolution you're using but auto takes up my whole screen area of 1280 x 1024. the 1 value is much nicer. Please explain your reversion.

Picture

Could somebody please find a photo of just Jennifer and Kristian to put in the infobox? The existing picture's nice, but maybe it should be put somewhere else in the article, seeing as Hall left the group. TenPoundHammer 16:53, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

They have some of just Jennifer and Kristian on www.sugarlandmusic.com but I don't know if you're allowed to use them.

Added a free photo I recently took. This one might be better though:

I need help adding a picture to Sugarland's page. The image is Image:S5030741.JPG. I took the picture with my personal camara and I don't know how to get it on the page without getting all those automatic copyright things. Could someone show me how to do it because it will be deleted after tonight (Tuesday 8/12) Sugarlandfanatic (talk) 21:19, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
