The Name[edit]

The community in question, refer to themselves as Sulaimanis, not as Sulaimani Bohras. This is in order to distinguish themselves from the splinter faction of Dawoodi Bohras, who are colloquially called Bohras, and share almost no similarity in practice of their faith or beliefs, except their shared origins and relationship due to history.

Although Bohras and Sulaimanis share some few basic commonalities of faith they are both very different in practice, and must not be clubbed together as the same animal.
