Trade as Suncorp (dropped the 'Metway' in late 2003), though legally still Suncorp-Metway Ltd.

Suncorp Stadium

I have removed the line about Robbie Williams playing at Suncorp Stadium as it is an article about a bank and does nothing to add to the article. This information would belong in the article about Suncorp stadium. Floorwalker 01:36, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Looking at the history of the article, a vast number of edits to this article (and a significant percentage of the current content) are from anonymous IP addresses at Suncorp-Metway itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.23.60.6 (talk) 04:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Given the company now has over 17,000 employees all of whom have internet access whilst at work I would expect that this article has been edited by Suncorp IP addresses a number of times. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.48.20 (talk) 13:42, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Size

I have changed the reference to Suncorp's size, specifically the claim that is Australia's 5th largest bank. It is not. Although St George and Bankwest are now both owned by other banks, they both continue to trade as banks in their own right and are regulated as standalone banks. This will be true for as long as they maintain their own APRA banking licences. As at 31 August 2009, both do. Both are also larger than Suncorp.
