Requested move[edit]

This article has been renamed from El Superclásico to Superclásico as the result of a move request.

The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was - unopposed move. Keith D (talk) 20:51, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • This derby game is refered to as both "Superclásico" & "El Superclásico" in the english media. It is most commonly referred to as "Superclásico" in Argentina. MOS states that "the" shouldn't usually be used in pagenames, the same might apply for the Spanish "el". The principal reason for the move is that an IP editor keeps cut & paste moving (over redirect) to "Superclásico", moving it properly would avoid this. • Support The correct name is "Superclásico", "el" is used as an article, but not like a part of the name. --Daniel dj87 (talk) 11:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation Page[edit]

I want to propose a Disambiguation Page for El Clasico and Superclasico, as one could interpret it as the Argentine (River Plate vs. Boca Juniors), Spanish (Real Madrid vs. Barcelona), or Mexican (America vs. Chivas) derbies, not to mention any derby in the Spanish speaking world that is called as such. Could we get some consensus on that? I think it heavily needed. 68.94.127.5 (talk) 17:29, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
