Future development of the article[edit]

I have made a few "accuracy edits" to the article as it stands, but I feel that long-term it needs a major revision putting the primary focus on the construction and operating history of the whole Swansea (St Thomas) to Brynamman (SVR) line (including the Morriston loop and, probably, the SVNBJR route from Ynisgeinon Jcn to Colbren Jcn) from first opening until final closure -- and concluding with information on the "heritage" project. -- Picapica (talk) 11:20, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Made a start with new introductory paragraph and line diagram. -- Picapica (talk) 15:07, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have had a shot at this. Afterbrunel (talk) 18:50, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Branch to Colbren[edit]

The 'Junction Line' as it was known was never part of the Swansea Vale. It was promoted as an independent company, then leased to the N and B, before being absorbed into the N and B c1870. Would anyone like to make relevant corrections? The route diagram would also need small changes. Flying Stag (talk) 19:30, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I Have had a shot at editing the text. I think those line diagrams are so ugly and opaque I will leave it to someone else to amend that. Afterbrunel (talk) 18:50, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
