English name[edit]

The Name Swedish National Police Board or (Rikspolisstyrelsen) is a organizational level (the top level) of an organization known to the public as the police (Polisen). But there are other levels, like the county police, the sea police, police aviation unit, mountain police, security police, border police etc. The most logical thing would be to call a comprehensive article by a collective name, such as Swedish Police or Sweden's Police or Police (Sweden).--Oden 20:14, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. According to the official website it is written "Swedish Police Service" in English. [1] /Slarre 15:27, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Update / Expansion of Page?[edit]

With the increased popularity and availability of Swedish police dramas (such as Wallander and Beck) internationally, it would be useful to see the page give a breakdown of various Swedish law enforcement activities. For example the role of prosecutors in investigations, forensic science team involvement, jurisdictional borders, etc.

Could someone with current knowledge of these matters provide this please? rturus (talk) 09:51, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
