Importance[edit]

In my opinion this page deserves place. It may be short at moment but the present state is not valid criteria for deletion. The active work of Swedwatch gives many opportunities to add more. Swedwatch is an open opportunity for everybody. Thanks. Watti Renew (talk) 16:30, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Basalisk Swedwatch is not a company but a non-governmental organization [1]. It would be more polite to edit the text instead of removal, if change is needed. Watti Renew (talk) 16:35, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think any "change" of the text is needed, I think the article needs to be deleted. I don't doubt that the company (or organisation or NGO or whatever) does some good work and serves a purpose, but this is no reason to write an article about it. Wikipedia has a clear policy on notability, and the general notability guideline stipulates that the subject of an article must be covered in multiple independent reliable sources. It doesn't appear to me that Swedwatch satisfies this requirement. I'm sorry if you felt this is an attack on you personally - it isn't. Your contributions are valued, and you shouldn't take it as an insult if some of your work is removed (I've been there myself and I know what it feels like). I try other introduction. The first may be returned. It was: Swedwatch is a watchdog, whistle blower and lantern. Swedwatch share best practice and give seminars in order to raise the bar in the CSR area. The overall goal is reduced poverty and sustainable social and environmental development in the South. A sub-goal is to minimize businesses negative footprint and rather improve contribution to positive impact through our research connected to CSR, human rights and environment.[2] Watti Renew (talk) 07:42, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I find this important since Swedwatch report include data for prevention of dangerous climate change. Last week Nature (journal) wrote that ecosystems and biodiversity are in the high risk. This is in my opinion the most important economical and political issue today. It involves me, since I will try to live in 2050. Climate change concerns many, since, it is estimated that from the now living persons alive are 70 % in the year 2050. Emission reduction means development and implementation of new energy technology solutions.yle 30.12.2008 (in Finnish) Watti Renew (talk) 14:53, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
