vietnamese french...[edit]

i moved the vietnamese french article here because vietnamese french is actually a dialect of french, not the creole known as tay boi. gaidheal 04:29, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

THERE ARE ONLY THREE SCOURCES FOR THIS ENTIRE PAGE. This page is hella sus. it is very untrustworthy. I'm also Vietnamese and I'm offended. Spelling[edit]

Parler[edit]

Parler is to speak or to talk, not to say, that would be dire. I've changed that.

Problems[edit]

Parler is not the only word that is mistranslated.

What's this about + john who?[edit]

I don't think the part with that one gringo president nominée who speaks perfect french belongs to Tây Bôi article. Not only because it lacks sources, but also because a random yank boasting with excellent French is not a good example for an excyclopedia. Also, the 'language' seems to be just broken french used for communication between Vietnamese and Frenchmen - unlike, say, the Haitian Creole. Standard (Picard) French !?!?[edit]

Since when does Picard has anything to do with standard French? Picard is a regional language of Northern France, related to the Belgian Wallon. Picard can't be called Standard French nor can Standard French be called Picard.199.84.42.208 (talk) 01:35, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Connection to "Français Tirailleur"[edit]

I'm planning on removing the sentence relating to Français Tirailleur. This is a speculative claim and while it's possible, I've been unable to find a source for it. If anyone has a source and would like to share, please go ahead and let me know!

Racist trash[edit]

The "Literal English" column is not only confusing, as it doesn't specify which language it's translating, but the phrases would still be similarly nonsensical if you literally translated French in the same way (e.g. J'ai faim --> "I have hunger").
