Eibon[edit]

Does anyone know how Klein got the middle name "Eibon"? It's a remarkable name for a Cthulhu Mythos author. Nareek 23:09, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see it's in quotes now, suggesting that it's a nickname. It would still be interesting to know when it got incorporated into his name. Nareek 17:03, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"Eibon" is an affectation; many of Klein's favorite writers used their initials rather than their first name (eg. M.R. James, H.P. Lovecraft.) Klein decided to follow suit, and so he added the "Eibon" and "Ted" became "T.E.D."
Right, and, as the article now states, it's derived from Clark Ashton Smith's fictional "Book of Eibon".Pernoctus (talk) 20:05, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
