I have edited the Taranaki Savings Bank page and added more information on the banks history and ownership. I have also added sub-headings and a small introduction. Please feel free to edit (within reason) what I have done and to add your own information. User:kiwifaramir

Article name[edit]

The bank's name is now (since the bank adopted a nationwide focus*) TSB Bank and it is NOT an acronym for Taranaki Savings Bank Bank. The situation is identical to ASB Bank which is no longer the Auckland Savings Bank.

TSB Bank in the UK[edit]

British bank Lloyds TSB is in the process of forming a new bank under the name TSB Bank plc which will trade as "TSB" (no longer an acronym of Trustee Savings Bank). To avoid confusion between the banks, this article could be renamed TSB Bank (New Zealand) and the article for the new UK bank could be named TSB Bank (United Kingdom) or TSB (United Kingdom bank). TSB Bank now simply TSB - rename this article?[edit]

As of 2^nd October 2017, TSB Bank is now simply known as TSB. Should this article be renamed to match? If so which naming style should be used? For example TSB (New Zealand bank) ?

Waitara[edit]

In 1946, Waitara was a borough in its own right, and the New Plymouth district was not yet an entity.

good point - I have edited the paragraph regarding branches to remove reference to the New Plymouth District, and instead made reference to the first branch in "central Taranaki" (to retain the point that was attempting to be made) Its-mrb (talk) 03:41, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Branches sub-section[edit]

Would it be a good idea to split this part of the article into two sub-sections to deal with branches within the Taranaki region and those nation-wide? There has been some good-faith editing of this section but the information seems to be confused around branch numbers within New Plymouth City, throughout the Taranaki region and across New Zealand as a whole.
