The Tab?[edit]

Who refers to this venue as "The Tab"? I've lived in Atlanta for 29 years and have attended about a dozen shows at this venue over the years. I have never even once heard this nickname used. I also did some Google searching and cannot find any blogs or other mention of this nickname. If nobody can support that with a citation I'm going to remove it. --Krelnik (talk) 02:14, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked at least 15 different Atlanta residents, nobody I spoke with can recall anyone using "The Tab" as a nickname for this venue. So I've removed it. --Krelnik (talk) 03:10, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming[edit]

We really ought to rename this article The Tabernacle (Atlanta) and have a disambiguation page for The Tabernacle. The reason is these other articles: The Tabernacle, Machynlleth, The Tabernacle (Scottsville, Kentucky), Tabernacle (Ryan Mark album) and The Tabernacle, Notting Hill. Note that there are a pretty good number of backlinks to this article that will need fixing, including at least one template. I don't have the time to do all the grunt work right now, thought I would leave this note in case someone wants to take up the gauntlet. --Krelnik (talk) 21:44, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I just noticed there is a disambiguation page for Tabernacle (as opposed to "The Tabernacle"). Probably should just keep that, but still change the name of this one. Unless folks believe this building is really the most famous building named Tabernacle. I'm not a good judge of that since I live in the same town and we hear about it all the time. --Krelnik (talk) 11:39, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
