A vast chunk of this article turned up undigested in one anon edit [1] a while back. Its from [2]. I've removed it William M. Connolley (talk) 21:37, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ref 1 is junk[edit]

Ref 1 is http://www.islam4theworld.com/Sahabah/talhah_bn_ubaydullah_R.htm and is currently just spam. Was it ever any better? Anyway, there is weird stuff in the article like "Assuming he died at 64 years old, he was born in 597". Why would we assume he was 64 when he died? William M. Consider spelling change to "Talhah"?[edit]

From my understanding, the more correct transliteration of the name is "Talhah" with an 'h' at the end due to the 'ة' found at the end of the Arabic word (pronounced as an 'h' sound when stopping on the name).

Please advise as to whether this would be a worthwhile change. Thank you! Scholarlydoubt (talk) 15:20, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
