Talia Pic[edit]

Ok the Talia pic I have is a pic of BethAnn Bonner I had that pic up ever since December and it's of her in the opening sequence, just like I have with all of the other articles, that are on the contract section, now every cast member except for Michael McBain, Tina Lord, Charlie Banks, Marty Saybrooke, and Brody Lovett, have shots that have them in the opening, and when they are on the opening sequence I will put there shots up, so I think Talia should also have her screen shot on the opening sequence. I can make a new Talia shot if yall want me too. P.J. (talk) 20:34, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The bulk of the OLTL character photos are from the opening sequence because those were what was readily available online originally, from the OLTL Openings MSN group. There is no policy or convention that the photos need to be from there. I screencapped a new Talia photo in August because I thought she looked great and the photo that was there was less appealing. Even if it were less grainy, it's just not a clear image because the opening sequence is stylized. I don't think we need to constantly update photos, but some of them could use a better shot. We've had this disagreement several times before, and your justification for replacing images with your own has been simply that "I didn't download the opening sequences and made pictures out of the opening credits just for nothing." As I said before, I don't want to diminish your hard work, but that should have nothing to do with whether your contributions are appropriate or not. — TAnthonyTalk 21:46, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

does it really matter if there grainy and look crappy, as I said before I can make another pic if it bothers you that much. P.J. (talk) 22:10, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LOL, can you explain why you prefer the opening credit photo? If it doesn't matter to you that it is poor quality, why does it matter to you that I have replaced it? — TAnthonyTalk 23:50, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

cuz most of them that are on the articles are from the opening, except for Michael McBain, Tina Lord, Charlie Banks, Marty Saybrooke, Brody Lovett, and Madame Delphina. Plus I took the screen shot, and like I said I can make another one if you prefer me too, I'm just trying to match every article that is on the cast list. P.J. (talk) 04:42, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is all well and good, but there is no need for them to match that way. If more editors like the opening image, fine, but no one has commented yet. You have a habit of just changing things to "your way" with no consensus, and it is inappropriate. — TAnthonyTalk 14:29, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I appreciate your willingness to compromise by including both images. — TAnthonyTalk 16:08, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ain't that the mature thing to do? P.J. (talk) 16:52, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photo redux[edit]

I agree we don't need two pics, but Onelifefreak2007's version from the opening is just awful (I think the bride pic is more visually appealing, but can concede that there are better shots out there to represent the character). The reason I'm bringing this up is that I'd love to upload a new screencap from an episode, but PJ is very insistent on opening credit shots for some reason, and will no doubt revert any change from "his way" as he has consistently in the past. Can we agree that this shouldn't matter, and a good quality image in the spirit of the character would be better? — TAnthonyTalk 06:01, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with that. I understand that the bride picture is of better quality, but I think it's totally incongruous considering the character and the story. So yes, surely someone can upload a screencap of Talia in her everyday life. Jbt1138 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 07:59, 7 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]
I absolutely agree with you TAnthony. While the bridal picture may not be the best representation of the character, it's of better quality than the opening credits shot. Are you really going to insist on keeping both in the article until we find one that you approve of? AniMate 09:59, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I still say the highest quality photo is the one of her in the wedding dress. The intro photo is painfully grainy and the police uniform photo is really unflattering with her eyes closed. Can't we do better or switch back to TAnthony's picture? AniMate 15:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the new one is no better, but I appreciate PJ's willingness to let go of the opening credit photo, so I'm willing to leave this alone for a couple of days until I can screencap a new image (my TiVo burns to DVD and I can grab stills, as I did for the wedding photo). — TAnthonyTalk 15:34, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a good compromise. AniMate 16:19, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Middle name[edit]

The character's middle name was mentioned once onscreen, and is noted in a footnote. I see no reason why it should clutter the lead sentence and suggest to readers that it has ever been a notable part of her name. This trivia is continually restored here and in other articles by, it seems, the same IP editor, who refuses to enter into any discussion on the matter, ignoring edit summaries and talk page comments. This apparent disregard for other editors' opinions is more problematic than the factoid itself.— TAnthonyTalk 02:57, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

It is not yet August 17, 2009, the character has not yet died onscreen, and no one has yet presented a source that supports the character's date or manner of death. Whether I "know" this information to be true or not, its addition is unacceptable without verifiability/sources, and I will continue to police the article in order to get this point across. Editors anxious to update details on these articles need to familiarize themselves with WP:CRYSTAL, WP:VERIFY, and any of a number of other basic Wikipedia policies. Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 03:03, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've provided a source from Soaps.com that states her last appearance was today, April 22, 2009... I haven't been around Talia's bio long enough to know, but nevertheless I'm uncertain as to where you have this August date. Maybe it's time to update this paragraph? Thanks. — CaptainHMorganTalk 22 April 2009 (UTC)
I think that I know who killed her because the guy is the one of the men that raped Marty. I don't get why he killed Talia when she doesn't have a connection to Marty or Todd or anyone that was invole with the rape. The guy is Powell Lord III. --M42380 (talk) 16:04, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Are we sure of this? I probably missed the part where it was absolutely clear it is him... and I've probably missed the recap over at Soaps.com, but the referenced source does not mention the killer's name. Can we find a better source? While he looks like a good candidate for the killer, I still haven't seen a clear example of where he is absolutely without a shadow of doubt the killer; right now, it appears he's an attempted murderer, that is also a kidnapper-- that doesn't yet qualify as the Slasher, unless someone can provide the proper source.
