I removed the link to the article Profit Sharing (for a second time). This is an English Language encyclopedia. we do not insert the terminiology from the world's languages as link of which French is just one. The word "Tantième" does not exsist in the English language. French speakers looking for information on Tantième do not go to English-language encyclopedias to find it. When English speakers want encyclopedic information on any subject, they do not go to a Chinese directory. Handicapper 21:01, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

This is international encyclopeda. Not to say that the provided link is to an english-language source. You will be surprized how many words are deacribed in wikipedia which you cannot find in English dictionaries. Please stop moving the article under the title without diacritics. This is not how it is done in wikipedis with foreign names. See, eg François Dupré and thousands of other names. Also, please stop deleting the valid technical disambiguation information. This may be considered vandalism. `'mikka 23:24, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Third opinion

I've been asked to give a third opinion on this article. Firstly, I see no harm whatsoever in linking to profit sharing from this article, although a compromise might be to link in the text rather than as a separate disambiguation - something along the lines of "Tantième is a French racehorse... [other stuff]... named for the French term for the share of the profits paid to a company's management.". If it helps one person find the right article, it's worth it.

On the article name, unless Tantième was generally known in the English-speaking world with diacritics (Racing Post back issues perhaps?) - although an international encyclopaedia, this is en.wikipedia.org, not fr.wikipedia.org - I'm afraid there's no real policy on this. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) states that the Latin alphabet should be used, but discussion is still underway as to whether names with diacritics in them should be kept. As page moves are exempt from WP:BOLD, I suggest you hold off and both take part in the discussion underway at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (standard letters with diacritics). --Scott Wilson 00:09, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

I would also like to mention that I myself consider diacritics quite foreign and strange in English texts. Some historical or bigraphical articles edited by some nationalists are very difficult to read. I am not supposed to have all these ridiculous fonts installed. Nevertheless I saw this growing tradition towards "diacriticizing", especially in French and Polish names. I was not aware of this new policy dicussion, and I will gladly go and voice against unnecessary stretching of English language. `'mikka 00:57, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

The term is unsed in English language. See google search results. Please stop removing the disambiguation link. You are violating wikipedia rules.
