Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Cliniic (talk) 08:07, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I created the article on the Tarini Charan Girls high school. It is an education instutition (not a company or an organisation) so why has it been put for speedy deletion? The criteria for speedy deletion says "This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a company, corporation, organization, or group that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. Note that educational institutions are not eligible under this criterion."

it says here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Schools/Criteria_for_Speedy_Deletion_A7 that schools are exempt from the criteria.

I had just created the article and am in the process of expanding it. Cliniic (talk) 08:07, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, but while schools are exempted from the WP:A7 speedy deletion criterion, they are not exempted from any others or WP:PROD. I doubt however, that there was much experience involved in the PROD that was applied. Nevertheless, this article needs to demonstrate that this is a high school, otherwise, if it is a primary or middle school only , it may be redirected to the article about the school's location (if any). For more information about creating school articles see WP:WPSCH/AG.Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:37, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Kudpung! Thanks for your feedback. This "shifted to the Tarini Charan Girls' High School " is an exert from the article http://www.deccanherald.com/content/208046/goswamis-prolific-pen-campaigned-dignity.html which is citation for it being a high school. I would like to work on the article further but sources are rare and I am currently working on another article too. thanks again for your feedback! (Cliniic (talk) 13:43, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If it is a high school please at least complete all the fields in the info box and mention in the article that it is. This will prevent it being listed for deletion again. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 16:54, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This article references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. The article must not be blanked. Just because other stuff exists does not mean that your article meets the notability criteria for Wikipedia. Article relies on only one source. Take a look at TigerSwan as an example. It has a variety of sources from reliable publications that offer coverage that is independent. Vrisle (talk) 09:12, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article must not be blanked. Wikipedia, verifiability means that other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable. But your content does not meet any above criteria.[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because this is a notability issue that should be dealt with at AfD (a discussion is open currently), not with speedy deletion. —— pythoncoder  (talk | contribs) 23:53, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
