Discussion of Wired Shut and Ideas Therein[edit]

I think the importance of this biography depends partly on the ideas in Wired Shut. In particular it seems that notions of copyright protection are topical, and we are at a pivotal period in cultural development in digitalil(izing) society. I think there should be a paragraph discussing the importance of Gillespie's contribution to the current debates about and future of copyright. need to rewrite description of research interests[edit]

Some admin type deleted the description of research interests that someone had copied wholesale from the Cornell Comm page. Similar ideas need to be conveyed less efficiently to meet copyright restrictions. --Iiihtwiii 20:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
