Talk:Ted Heath (bandleader)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The article's lede currently reads - "Ted Heath was the most famous and successful big band leader in Great Britain of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, recording more than 100 albums and selling over 20 million records." This needs referencing, as does the whole article, which continues in a breezy manner, with scant regard to verifiability. Who said he's the most famous - what about Syd Lawrence, Joe Loss, Geraldo, Edmundo Ros etc ? Much work needed from someone with knowledge of the subject matter, and neutral Wikipedia editing skills.

"In 1945, the BBC decreed that only permanent, touring bands could appear on radio. So Ted Heath and his Music was officially formed on D-Day, 1945."

The above is WRONG! as D-Day was 6 June 1944. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ian16th (talkcontribs) 09:00, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2021 Re-release of Ted Heath's First American Tour! album[edit]

On a 2021 release of Ted Heath's First American Tour! album, available through Amazon MP3 (I did not order the physical CD). It is also available on Spotify, Apple, etc. (40 tracks, unknown publisher)

Track 11 is titled "Twefth Street Rag". It is listed the same way at Spotify and Apple, and other places I have looked. I am wondering if the misspelling in this title is intentional and original, or was it perhaps an error which occurred on this particular release?
